A fine 19th-century antique carnelian stone cameo of a classical lady, left profile, set in an 18ct gold (electronically tested), cultured pearl, and enamel brooch/pendant.

The cameo is very finely carved, the white portrait set against the soft silvery pink of the carnelian stone. It is beautifully presented in an 18k gold setting with pearls set against black enamel. The brooch has a bale, for mounting as a pendant, and a safety chain. The pin unscrews and the clasp folds flat for wearing as a pendant. The safety chain can be unclipped.

CONDITION : The cameo is in perfect condition, as is the setting with the minor exception of some losses to the black enamel between the pearls (see images), which do not attract notice and could be easily remedied, if desired.
